Success Story: Nordmark Pharma GmbH – SAP S/4HANA Migration with GxP-Compliant Validation

Nordmark Pharma, together with DHC, shows how a digital process map, risk-based validation, and active involvement of the business departments lead to a successful go-live and sustainable building of competence.

With the end of maintenance for SAP ECC, Nordmark Pharma faced the move to SAP S/4HANA. This was about more than the technical migration: the pharmaceutical company also wanted to modernize its CSV methodology, anchor responsibilities more firmly in the business departments, and validate its GxP-relevant processes in a risk-based and audit-ready way.
Together with DHC, Nordmark chose a brownfield approach. A digital process map structured 16 business processes and 138 detailed processes and laid the foundation for targeted, non-redundant validation. Supplementary workshops and practice-oriented training supported the business departments in co-designing processes, requirements, and validation documentation independently.
The go-live took place in March 2026. Validation was completed ahead of schedule. At the same time, Nordmark built internal CSV competence for independent validation in ongoing operations.
