ChaRM in the Cloud: Change Management with SAP Cloud ALM and the DHC Smart Validation Accelerator

In this webinar, we show how Change Request Management (ChaRM) is implemented end to end in the cloud using SAP Cloud ALM and the DHC Smart Validation Accelerator (SVA). The change request is managed and approved in the SVA, while the technical implementation takes place in SAP Cloud ALM. Both environments stay synchronized through defined statuses and links. This way, every change is documented, approved, and audit-ready from the change request through to the transport.
Live Demo: From Change Request to audit-ready transport
In a live demonstration, we use a concrete change project to show how a change request is created in the DHC Smart Validation Accelerator in a GxP-compliant way and then carried through to deployment via SAP Cloud ALM.
You will see how to:
- Structure change requests in a library and assign them to a system or SAP Cloud ALM project
- Create, describe, and link change requests to the affected validation objects in the SVA, and submit them to an approval workflow
- Run the approval workflow for the change request with the roles Author, Reviewer, and Approver
- Create features from the DHC SVA in SAP Cloud ALM and manage their status
- Implement the change in SAP via the feature
- Prevent uncontrolled transports into the production system by linking them to the SVA change, and demonstrate the history for audits
